Meet Stevey Seymour

My name is Stevey I am a writer, poet, community organizer and aspiring world leader. I'm also an enrolled member of the Sn̓ʕay̓čkstx (Arrow Lakes) tribe of the Colville Confederated Tribes. Although I do not have a college degree, I have over 16 years experience in direct leadership positions, and a life of mistakes followed by lessons that have guided me here. At 28, I made history as the youngest female elected to the Colville Business Council, then later became the Executive Director of Inchelium Language House and I have raised millions of dollars towards Salish language revitalization. I did this as a single mother with no college degree. I have often failed and fumbled while trying to make a difference in my own community. After years of working to develop and learn I finally understood that I will never be the expert I had hoped to be but instead will be a constant student working to help community leaders make a true and lasting impact within their own communities.

 

I want to provide a space and tools for others to step into their own rebellious leadership, enabling positive transformation through working together. I am genuinely excited at what amazing good we can achieve when we come together.
